Development Executive

Angharad is a writer and a producer who’s worked in drama for 18 years. She started her journey as Literary Manager for new writing theatre company Sgript Cymru in Cardiff, moving on to join Cwmni Da production company in 2006. She was appointed Drama Development Producer for the company a few years later where she curated her own development slate. She has produced award-winning docufilms, including Gerallt and Merêd (S4C) as well as writing and producing various drama and drama-docs. Her short film for children, Titsh, was broadcast in 11 territories and her pre-school live action series, Deian a Loli – which has been in production for 7 years running – has been sold internationally; is now a book series; and has a theatre show and feature film in development. In 2018 she co-wrote the Welsh language scenes in the ‘Tywysog Cymru’ episode of The Crown (Leftbank/Netflix) and was Associate Producer on William McGregor’s debut feature, Gwen(Endor/BFI) starring Maxine Peake. She created the drama series Stad (6×60’) for S4C in 2021, co-storylining the series and scripting three episodes. Her drama and documentary productions have won a Broadcast Award, Bafta Wales awards, Celtic Media Festival awards and a New York Film and Television awards. She is an EAVE Producers’ Workshop graduate and lives near Caernarfon, north Wales.
