GETHIN SCOURFIELD
Co-Creative Director – Drama & Music
With a career spanning nearly four decades, Gethin has been a driving force in Welsh television and film since the early 1980s. He co-founded two pioneering production companies, Criw Byw and Boda, before joining the BBC in 2001 as an Executive Producer. After his tenure at the BBC, he continued to shape the industry as a freelance producer and director, bringing a distinctive creative vision to every project.
He is currently Executive Producer on Dŵr / Still Waters (S4C/Sundance Now/Channel 4), the second season of the acclaimed anthology series Y Golau / The Light in the Hall. This ambitious dual-language production aired back-to-back on S4C, Channel 4, and Sundance Now, becoming Channel 4’s best-performing drama of 2023.
