Sophie Warren

Development Assistant

Sophie originally trained as an Actor at The Royal Welsh College of Music And Drama, and has a Masters in Screenwriting. After working in theatre for 5 years, she returned to Cardiff to retrain as a script editor for television with BBC Writersroom and SGIL Cymru. She is a Welsh Learner. As a writer she has worked with BOOM Cymru, Theatre Clwyd, The Sherman, The Other Room and Camden People’s Theatre, and most recently won ‘Best Screenplay’ for her BBC Wales short with ‘It’s My Shout!’. Having worked as an Assistant Script Editor for ‘It’s My Shout!’ in 2023, she is now Script Editor and mentor for their English Language films. She completed a 6 month Screenskills Traineeship as a Script Editor for BBC One’s ‘Lost Boys and Fairies’ with Duck Soup. Sophie also spent 6 months working at the newly formed ‘Duck Soup Cardiff’ as a Development Assistant.
